From launch to global player
M.R. Schneider GmbH was founded in 1969 by Manfred und Marianne Schneider as „Manfred Schneider Verpackungsbetrieb“. The first orders for salt and sugar came from the German armed forces for the Epa packages. At that time, the packaging machine itself was fitted with a simple uni-color printing device.
Eventually the first paper sachets encorporating individual logos were created for local cafés, restaurants and hospitals. A printing machine was purchased which printed the logos onto the paper before packaging making production of the first colour sachets possible.
Cooperation with well-known coffee producers gave rise to national expansion of sachet orders, which itself has now developed into an international business. In 2002 the day-to-day running of the company was taken over by the second generation; Evi Stamm and Daniel Schneider.
